Annual trips to the renowned International Beauty Show located in New York City, to meet some of the headliners in our industry, developing inroads with many of the companies that are represented there.

Alumni, and salon affiliates from throughout Southern Connecticut, are invited to, and receive discounted rates on in-house advanced education featuring Ben Brown, Ego Barbers, Masters of Balayage, Rise of Hair, Trybe, Wahl, and Wella.

This is where students get to demonstrate their creativity at this annual event produced by students from start to finish modeled after high-fashion runway shows. Students showcase their styling, cutting, colouring, makeup and finishing techniques to an audience of friends, family and industry contacts.

Student Catwalks are modeled after runway shows produced in New York, Milan and Paris. Students create total concept looks with the guidance of instructors and are responsible for sourcing models, hiring a photographer, creating mood boards and selecting wardrobe.

The behind-the-scenes experience of producing a show gives students real world training in a fast-paced environment as well as an introduction to the world of session work. Skills gained from this experience range from leadership and networking to choreography and advanced hair and make up skills, all while providing students a creative outlet that prepares them for work in the hairdressing industry.

Experience bi-monthly photographic sessions, allowing you to express your creativity across a multitude of themes. Expand the scope of your education by learning the skills necessary to work with a professional photographer. You will be creating total looks on live models, providing you with high resolution photos to utilize for your professional portfolio.
